Time Dundalk International

Dundalk Stadium, Dundalk, Co. Louth

We were delighted to sponsor the Dundalk International for the very first time this year – and what a race we had.

From the moment the traps opened and UK challengers Cochise and then Brookside Richie led, it was race-on.

Richie led them down the far side but two of Ireland’s finest in Ballinabola Ed and Raha Mofo were soon in top gear and the latter, the 2022 Sporting Press Oaks heroine, came through strongly on the inside off the last bend to prevail in a driving finish.

A short-head separated these two champions with Murt Leahy’s Raha Mofo crowned the 2023 Time Dundalk International winner for owners Stephen and Marissa Molloy.

Time Greyhound Nutrition’s William Rigney said:

“Congratulations to connections of Raha Mofo, the Leahys and the Molloys, for their memorable victory in the very first Time Dundalk International – she certainly timed her challenge right!”

“But it takes two great greyhounds to make a great race and well done also to Ballinabola Ed. He lost nothing in defeat and I know heads to Shelbourne Park now for the BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby in great shape.”

“Our thanks go to Dundalk for a fantastic day of horse and greyhound racing. The International is one of the most famous races in the calendar and a valuable one-off contest with a great history, which we’re now proud to be a part of.”

“We appreciate the efforts the UK trainers Jimmy Fenwick and Richard Rees went to in bringing Brookside Richie and Cochise over and hope we will see even more UK challengers at Dundalk in future years.”
