Droopys takes flight for Time Juvenile Derby gold
DROOPYS FLYTLINE added his name to a stellar list of previous winners by producing a brilliant performance in the Time Greyhound Nutrition Juvenile Derby Final at Shelbourne.
Trained by Robert Gleeson for Michael Dunphy and Alice Gleeson, the trainer’s mother, the son of Laughil Blake and Droopys Curio paced up well outside to draw alongside fast-starting Short Grip before taking up the running off the second bend on his way to a length success over that rival in a superb 27.93sec.
Caitriona Fox and Shane Rigney, representing Time’s business partners John Fox and Willie Rigney, presented the trophy to winning trainer Gleeson afterwards.
